Resolving why most people are hesitant to do their RYT300

It’s Expensive, Time Consuming and….

If you’ve ever considered a 300-hour training but hesitated, you’re not alone. Most yoga teachers don’t move forward with an RYT300 for a few very real reasons—and honestly, they’re all valid.

The biggest one is cost. Advanced trainings can feel like a major financial leap, often double the investment of a 200-hour, plus travel and living expenses. For our 2026 cohort, A+ Yoga is approaching this differently. We’re offering a deeply discounted hybrid program for those who enroll in August 2026, along with flexible payment plans and a “pay what you will until” option. In addition, anyone who places a deposit before June 1st will receive an additional $500 off. This structure is unique to 2026, created to make the training more accessible without compromising quality. A+ Yoga’s price options are at the bottom of this page!

Time is another real barrier. A 300-hour certification is a significant commitment, and it can feel overwhelming to balance that with teaching, work, and life. Our program is designed with that in mind—there’s no expiration date for completion. You’ll have access to a full library of online content, allowing you to move at your own pace while still receiving a high-level, structured education. We also offer credit for up to 100 hours of prior training taken elsewhere, provided it was taught by an RYT500-certified teacher and you can supply proof of completion—helping to honor the time and effort you’ve already invested in your growth.

A+ Yoga offers the priceless value of LIFETIME completion, no expiration date for completion, therefore no stress for completion.

Quality and Logistics

There’s also the question of quality. Not all trainings are created equal, and some can feel like they’re simply filling hours rather than offering depth. At A+ Yoga, we hold a high standard for both teaching and completion, which has earned us elevated school status with Yoga Alliance. The curriculum is intentionally designed to be rigorous, thoughtful, and practical. Trainees are required to teach a minimum of 15 classes, with options to do so in person or via video submission, ensuring real integration of what you learn. We take a deep dive in the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali uncovering the real yoga behind the yoga we usually see.

And then there’s the internal piece—stepping into a 300-hour can bring up self-doubt. That transition from foundational knowledge to deeper mastery can feel like a big leap. To support this, all trainees have full access to our RYT200 materials, whether or not they originally trained with us. You can revisit, refine, and build confidence as you grow into your teaching voice.

Logistics can also be a challenge, especially with programs that require extensive travel. Our hybrid format removes that pressure, while still offering optional in-person components—including the opportunity to complete hours in a retreat-style, destination setting if that calls to you.

Building Community

Finally, while online learning can sometimes feel isolating, we’ve put strong systems in place to create connection and community. You’ll receive direct trainer feedback, peer feedback, and have access to an active group space through WhatsApp and our course platform. The intention is not just to learn—but to grow alongside others on a similar path.
